Graduates of our doctoral program in linguistics go on to careers in academia, consulting, technology, and government, in addition to other industries. Our department also offers masters of science in applied linguistics, computational linguistics, sociolinguistics, and theoretical linguistics. Our Master’s in Language and Communication (MLC) program, an M.A. program offering specialization in sociolinguistics combined with a choice of other concentrations, provides students with practical career resources and faculty support.
