The MLC program at Georgetown has been instrumental in providing me the skills I need to succeed as a linguist in industry. As a non-traditional student, it was important for me to find a graduate program that not only gave me a foundation in linguistic knowledge, but also the tools to transfer that knowledge beyond the classroom.

The MLC opened my eyes to the world of conversation design, a field I didn’t know existed when I first started at Georgetown. Several career talks, a summer bootcamp, and plenty of practice later, I am now working professionally in conversational AI, and I’m extremely pleased with where I’ve ended up.
