However, there are some courses that may not appear on this list, as they are not offered every year. To learn more about these courses, contact your advisor or the Director of Undergraduate Studies.
LING1000: Introduction to Language
LING 1000 is designed for students with a variety of different backgrounds and interests to give a general introduction to linguistics. If you are majoring or minoring in linguistics, this course will give you the background you need to succeed in other linguistics courses. If you are studying a language, this course will provide you with additional tools to help you progress.
Students may also visit our LING1000 page to learn about LING1000: Introduction to Language. The foundational course is also an option for fulfilling the general education social science requirement.
