LCDC Presents at DC Historical Society Conference

The Language and Communication in Washington, DC (LCDC) project team was invited to participate in the History Network event at the Historical Society of D.C. annual conference, on Friday November 15, 2013, at the Carnegie Library. The research team presented and gathered information on DC-area words (e.g. ‘jont’, ‘siced’) and on local perceptions of language and dialect. The LCDC project is headed by Natalie Schilling. Pictured are Georgetown Ph.D. students Caitlin Elizondo (LCDC RA), Sinae Lee, and Jessi Grieser.
