I'm a PhD student in the Sociolinguistics concentration, advised by Prof. Nadja Tadic. I'm a discourse analyst interested in examining language and social interaction in both mundane and institutional settings, and my research draws heavily on ethnomethodology and conversation analysis. Some of my recent projects focus on exploring how, in interaction and on a moment-by-moment basis, people negotiate normativity, (re)produce and handle prejudice, and orient to “challenging” topics.
