Hello, I'm Emily (they/them). I am a PhD student in linguistics at Georgetown University in the sociolinguistics concentration. I also hold an MA in linguistics from Boston University.
My research focuses on how speakers acquire deploy gendered speech styles, and how to incorporate emic gender categorizations into the broader variationist paradigm.
