Susan M. Gass and Alison Mackey to receive the MLA's Kenneth W. Mildenberger Prize

New York, NY– 3 December 2013 – The Modern Language Association of America today announced it is awarding its thirty-second Kenneth W. Mildenberger Prize to Susan M. Gass, of Michigan State University, and Alison Mackey, of Georgetown University, editors of The Routledge Handbook of Second Language Acquisition, published by Routledge. The prize is awarded for an outstanding work in the fields of language, culture, literacy, and literature with strong application to the teaching of languages other than English.
